ABOUT

ARTIST: Cristina. T. Ingbritsen

Cristina. T. Ingbritsen is a Melbourne, Australia based realism, semi-realism and manga artist & photographer. Cristina’s works have been described as “very personal” as art is her preferred way of expressing and communicating who she is and why. Therefore any themes she explores strongly reflects her personal thoughts and feelings.

“Art for me gives me confidence to express who I am and my thoughts on things I’m passionate about. I’m someone who finds it mentally difficult, due to personal mental health struggles, to do so otherwise. Creating art is a strong urge I get daily, and those daily urges wont rest until I pick up a medium to create what I have to create.”

As of 2015, Cristina has been focusing on fantasy and mythology themes in her works and plans on carrying on with those themes for many years to come. Her works are currently realistic and manga in style. However, as a break from exploring the fantasy genre, she still completes drawings in a realism style of people she admires, people she knows personally and for commissioned purposes.

Cristina was the co-owner and co-jewellery designer for The Dragon's Hoard. Cristina's future career goals include many more solo exhibitions, becoming a gallery curator/owner and/or university lecturer.
